About This Project

This website is a personal photography project focused on capturing the beauty of the sky in different moments and conditions. It highlights how natural elements such as light, weather, and time of day can create unique visual experiences.

This project was developed as part of COM-3540 Web Design and Digital Communication at Western Michigan University. It demonstrates the application of visual storytelling, layout structure, and user-centered design principles.

About the Creator

Griselda Kimberly Simbiak is a student at Western Michigan University studying Communication and Digital Media. She is interested in photography, visual storytelling, and digital design.

This project reflects her passion for capturing natural moments, especially the sky, and presenting them through a clean and structured web design format.

Design Approach

The website follows a minimal and clean design approach. The focus is on visual content, while text is used only to provide context and structure. This ensures that the photography remains the main highlight of the experience.

White space, simple typography, and structured sections are used to create a clear and easy-to-navigate layout.

Learning Outcome

This project helps develop skills in web design, content organization, and digital storytelling. It also improves understanding of how to build a structured website that combines creativity and functionality.

Through this process, I learned how to use WordPress to create a visual portfolio that communicates ideas effectively.
